Project Overview
Salt air and heavy seasonal downpours eventually take their toll on the iconic barrel tiles found throughout Aventura’s luxury estates. Our crew was called to this residential property to investigate persistent interior moisture signs that appeared after the latest tropical storm. Unlike a full roof overhaul, many tile roofs in South Florida simply require surgical intervention to restore their integrity and protect the home’s envelope from further water intrusion. After a thorough inspection, we identified the specific failure points hidden beneath the clay tiles. Rather than recommending a wasteful replacement, we focused our efforts on precision repairs, ensuring the home remained protected while maintaining the original aesthetic of the roofline. Our team prides itself on these specialized, targeted repairs that provide homeowners with peace of mind without the cost or disruption of a total replacement project.
Why the Roof Needed Work
Several loose and cracked barrel tiles were allowing water to bypass the underlayment. We identified critical mortar degradation along the hip and ridge caps, which served as the primary entry point for moisture during high-wind rain events.
What We Did
We carefully removed the damaged tiles to expose the affected substrate and cleared away the crumbling mortar. New, high-performance materials were integrated to seal the flashing and replace broken underlayment sections. Finally, the original tiles were expertly reset and secured to match the existing roof pattern perfectly.

"I genuinely thought I was looking at a full replacement. When Randy came back down saying most of the roof was fine and it was really just a few problem spots, I almost didn't believe him. He showed me the photos so I could see it for myself. That kind of straight talk is hard to find, and they matched the new tiles to the old ones so well you can't even tell where they worked."
