Project Overview
The Miami Lakes sun is unforgiving, and the original asphalt shingle roof on this residential property had finally met its match. After years of relentless South Florida heat cycles, the shingles had curled, cracked, and lost the granules necessary to reflect UV rays. We transitioned this homeowner from a failing traditional system to a premium metal roof, designed to stand up to the region's intense humidity and storm patterns. Investing in a metal roofing system provides more than just a fresh look; it creates a thermal barrier that helps regulate indoor temperatures throughout the sweltering summer months. This replacement was about ensuring long-term peace of mind for the homeowners, providing them with a structure that doesn't just weather the storm but thrives under the pressure of the Florida climate.
Why the Roof Needed Work
Persistent thermal degradation and significant shingle failure had led to multiple localized leaks. The original roof decking showed signs of moisture damage, necessitating a complete overhaul to restore the home's integrity.
What We Did
Our team executed a full tear-off down to the roof decking to assess the structure properly. We replaced damaged wood components, installed a high-performance underlayment, and completed the installation of a standing-seam metal roofing system. Each metal panel was custom-fitted to ensure a precise, airtight finish around all roof penetrations and flashing points.
Before & During
Before
During
"Switching to a metal roof felt like a gamble, but the team walked me through every option without making me feel rushed. They helped me pick a color and profile that actually fits the neighborhood instead of just pushing the most expensive one. Watching the old shingles come off and the new panels go on, I could tell these guys take real pride in their work. The house looks sharper than I imagined and I sleep easier when the wind picks up."
