Project Overview
Transitioning from a traditional tile roof to a modern metal system is a strategic investment for homeowners in Kendall. Given the intense South Florida climate, this residential property required a robust solution capable of withstanding constant UV exposure, heavy seasonal rain, and salt air corrosion. VICE Roofing, License #CCC1337276, executed this full-scale replacement to enhance the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of the home. Our expert crew began by performing a comprehensive tear-off of the aging tile system to expose the roof deck for a rigorous inspection. By installing a high-quality metal roof system that adheres to strict Miami-Dade NOA standards, we ensured maximum hurricane resistance and improved wind mitigation capabilities. This transition not only modernizes the building but also optimizes drainage and weatherproofing. At VICE Roofing, we pride ourselves on precision craftsmanship, from the initial flashing details to the final thorough cleanup of the job site. We offer free estimates for all residential projects and stand by our work with a comprehensive workmanship warranty, ensuring long-term peace of mind for our local clients.
Why the Roof Needed Work
The original tile roof had succumbed to years of South Florida humidity and storm cycles, leading to cracked tiles and degraded underlayment. These vulnerabilities allowed moisture to penetrate the decking, creating significant leak risks and potential structural compromise.
What We Did
The project involved a complete tear-off of the existing tile system followed by a thorough inspection and repair of the roof deck. We installed a premium metal roofing system incorporating high-performance underlayment and reinforced flashing to meet local building codes. The team finished with a final site cleanup and inspection to ensure compliance with Miami-Dade requirements.
Before & During

"Honestly I was on the fence about switching from tile to metal — it felt like a big leap. Randy sat with me in the driveway for almost an hour explaining how the panels interlock and why metal actually makes sense down here with the hurricanes. He never once pushed me. By the time the crew finished, the house looked completely different and my wife finally stopped stressing every time the weather channel lit up. Genuinely good people."
